“Where Qi flows, there is no pain.”
(Chinese adage)
I fell in love with Chinese Medicine long before I made the commitment to study it in graduate school. I discovered a book about Macrobiotics and Chinese Medicine and became fascinated with the idea of microcosm vs macrocosm and the fact that all of the elements that made up the universe were also working within us. I resonated with the idea that everything around us has energy, and that the expressions of these energies are related to the seasons of earth. These seasons, or movements, are where we get the “Five Elements.”
I made the decision to study Classical Chinese Medicine after receiving treatment from David Berkshire, LAc in the Worsley Five Element method. After my first treatment, I had a dream that I was being initiated in a ceremony. In subsequent treatments, I noticed that my health improved, I felt better, and I was able to make necessary changes in my life. My life transformed. I could show up more fully and it seemed easier to be me. The places where I felt stuck opened up and the future looked brighter. My dreams seemed more possible.
Additionally, in 5 E Acupuncture I found all the ways in which I was seeking to grow my practice of Shiatsu and Chi Nei Tsang that had long been my work. What I was seeking finally found me.
While in school at the National University of Natural Medicine, I embarked on a training in Five Element Acupuncture with David Berkshire, LAc. and Eric Hartmann, LAc. through the Worsley Institute. Being a Five Element Acupuncture practitioner is a lifelong process of refining our senses and learning to be instruments of nature, so that we can assist others toward balance and harmony within.
Five Element Acupuncture transformed my ability to be me in the world. It also allowed me to tap into my sensitivity, and I am now studying in a 2-year Clairvoyant program with Kawena Charlot at the Intuitive Path Academy. Meditating, learning to ground, and clearing my own energetic field allows me to show up more fully with both myself and with clients. Energy hygiene is a term most people haven’t heard – but it’s an important skill involving clearing one’s aura, chakras, vibration, physical and emotional body, and having good boundaries that make it clear what is me, and what is not me. All of these tools allow me to be more clear and “free.”
Currently, other than pursuing a career in the healing arts, I am devoted to a spiritual path of being a servant of the Great Awakening. I believe that humanity is experiencing a profound shift from 3D to 5D consciousness and that we are about to wake up to our true nature. We are powerful beings – and living in harmony with the Earth can allow us greater access to her power to heal, thrive, live in harmony and evolve. So must it be!
In my free time I listen to podcasts about astrology and spirituality, garden, hike, do yoga, surf, cook, study, gather with like-minded people, and try to have fun and play as much as possible.

High-quality Chinese Herbs can be a game changer in your health experience. They can help you to feel supported as you heal chronic patterns of dysfunction; improving energy, digestion, sleep, fertility, female health, pain, etc. They are more easily assimilated than supplements because they are “food” grown in the earth.
Homeopathic Drainage is a gentle method that can improve your physiological function and heal patterns of disease. It works to improve the functioning of your organs via the pathways of detoxification. Coaching, nutrition and lifestyle support are always part of our work as well.
Whether you need an occasional tune-up or measured support, Elohi Earth Medicine is here to help!
Moving from winter to spring can cause some challenges. If the kidneys aren’t full of warmth and nourishment, the energy can feel stressed when it’s time to stretch out and move. And if the liver and gallbladder meridians aren’t also warmed, nourished, and FLEXIBLE, this can cause some creeky joints or potentially even nerv-y pain. So what do we do?
Chinese Medicine is the Medicine of Nature. You are also Nature. I specialize in Classical Five Element Acupuncture which can help you to reconnect with your Inner Vitality. I also use Chinese herbal Medicine to support your organ function and mitigate symptoms, and Homeopathic Drainage to improve your body’s ability to detoxify and release toxins in a healthy way. Nutrition is important, exercise is essential, and lifestyle coaching brings it all together to help you experience whatever level of health that you are seeking.
This is simple, but not easy. Your commitment to yourself is paramount. Are you willing to really listen? Are you willing to change? If you are, then let’s talk about how I can support you on your healing journey.
My whole adult life has been devoted to healing. I have been studying and working in Natural Health since 1998. Anxiety, Addiction, depression, insomnia, gut health, joint pain, fatigue, frequent colds, and constipation are all symptoms that I’ve dealt with on my healing journey. As a former athlete, my physical health was decent- but it was post-college during a difficult break-up when I started to realize all of the ways that my WHOLE-istic health were not up to par.
I was introduced to the power of Chinese Medicine when my dog developed a severe hypothyroid condition in 1997. After consulting a Chinese Medicine veterinarian, I changed her diet to whole foods, gave her herbs and homeopathy- and watched magic happen. Her skin healed, her hair grew back and she even calmed down from the incessant stressful OCD behavior that she had always exhibited. Having grown up on a diet including processed foods, sugar and soda- this opened my eyes to the healing that happens when our diet consists primarily of whole foods and deep nutrition. Later, when I first received Five Element Acupuncture, I knew that I had experienced something profound that felt familiar.
My education includes a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. I hold NCCAOM certification, a certificate in Worsley Five Element Acupuncture, a B.S. in Sociology, an A.OS. in Massage Therapy; as well as certificates in Acupoint Injection Therapy, Yoga, Reiki, Integrated Energy Therapy, and Clairvoyance. I mentored with David Berkshire, L.Ac. – the President of the Worsley Institute, who introduced me to Biotherapeutic Drainage Homeopathy. I have experience with nutrition, twelve steps, trauma, meditation, animal health, somatic awareness and Functional Medicine principles.
Sleeping well, getting sunlight & fresh air, eating whole foods, reducing stress, healing trauma, exercise, participating in your community, living and working from your passion, enjoying positive relationships, reducing chemicals and toxins, and improving your body’s ability to physiologically function and detoxify are the backbones of any health regimen.
Over the last 30 years these Natural Healing principles have improved my health – year after year – and they can also help you.
